Cow-Calf Cost of Production Workshops
January 30 @ 8:30 am - January 31 @ 4:00 pm
Cow-Calf Cost of Production Workshops
Two-day workshops will be held in that will provide a hands-on learning experience for producers to learn how to calculate a unit cost of production for a cow-calf operation.
Having information to make effective business decisions is important for ranch success. Enterprise analysis and unit cost of production (UCOP) are tools that can help ranchers identify where value is being created on the ranch, where costs are occurring, and what changes could be made to improve profit.
These programs will take place Jan. 30 and 31 at Uncle Buck’s Lodge in Brewster from 8:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. CST
Cost is $50 per person and covers meals for both days. Please pre-register one week ahead of the program for a meal count. Payment is due the day of the workshop. Workshop size is limited to 30 people. Contact T.L. Meyer at 308-645-2267 (tl.meyer@unl.edu) or Hannah Smith at (402) 387-2213 (hannah.greenwell@unl.edu) to register for the Brewster workshop and Ryan Benjamin at 402-376-1850 (ryan.benjamin@unl.edu) for the Valentine workshop.
