Last week staff traveled the State to meet with members and give updates on many topics during the 2020 NC Road Trip. We had a great turnout and it was nice to see everyone again. Topics discussed included State and Federal legislation and issues, Nebraska Cattlemen Insurance Group, Traceability, Membership and more!
Young Cattlemen’s Conference (YCC) applications are open for more information, click here. This program is for young people in the industry that want to become more involved with Nebraska Cattlemen. The YCC program Identifies and educates leaders to help guide and strengthen our beef industry is important to the future of Nebraska’s agriculture. The next generation of Nebraska Cattlemen will ensure Nebraska remains the global epicenter of the beef industry. The goal of the Young Cattlemen’s Conference is to deliver a strong foundation of industry knowledge to young and emerging leaders.
State fair begins this week. The Beef Pit will be there! There will be no indoor seating; however, we will take orders to-go. Open August 28th, 29th, 30th and September 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th. We hope to see you there!
September 21st the NC cow calf council is doing a joint tour with the Sandhills Cattle Association on a fall feeder calf review. This will give producers in the background sector a chance to come out to the sandhills and view the calves that will be for sale soon. The tour begins at 8am, for more information click here.
