Dr. Fox Bill AKA LB 252

 In

Ashley Kohls, Vice President of Government Affairs, discusses the Dr. Fox bill (LB 252).

…Within 48 hours of the passing of a veterinarian we found out that there was an interpretation of Nebraska Law that if a prescribing veterinarian passes away all the prescriptions become immediately null and void.

What this bill does is, if a prescribing veterinarian passes away it gives a 30-day window to allow farmers and ranchers to refill prescriptions that are not expired. This allows producers to develop a new veterinarian client patient relationship (VCPR) with another veterinarian to continue vet services for their animals.

Listen as Ashley talks more about this bill and the importance behind it.
