Creating a Risk Management Game Plan
Kenny Burdine is no stranger to the topic of price risk management. In fact, the Extension livestock economist at the University of Kentucky has given 75 to 100 presentations specifically focused on the topic. While it’s safe to say he’s an expert on the topic, Burdine admitted, price risk management is one of the more challenging topics he teaches producers.
“It’s also one of the more challenging things that they learn,” Burdine said. “But I would encourage everybody out there to take some time really trying to invest some time in learning about it.” During a recent Nebraska Cattlemen webinar, Burdine discussed the importance of having a risk management game plan.
