LINCOLN, NE (August 9, 2022) – Today, Nebraska Cattlemen announced they are seeking to hire an administrative assistant to join their team and serve as the primary office support staff for all Nebraska Cattlemen Departments. Job details are as follows.


Nebraska Cattlemen began with Nebraska Stockgrowers in 1888 and merged with Nebraska Livestock Feeders Association and Nebraska Feedlot Council to form Nebraska Cattlemen in 1988. We are organized to protect members’ financial interests. Proactive in nature, Nebraska Cattlemen works through public policy to develop a favorable business climate for members and develop educational opportunities for members. Governed by a Board of Directors whose members are selected by nine regions of the state – by the four segment councils and the six policy areas with local affiliates across the state representing the grassroots members.

Job Description

This selected individual will serve as the primary office support staff for all Nebraska Cattlemen departments. The individual will also work with the membership to manage the database.

Requirements and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will understand and appreciate agriculture and the beef industry. This position prefers experience with Microsoft Applications as well as database management. The candidate should have excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as strong attention to detail. Being comfortable as part of a small team and working independently is crucial to this role.

Compensation: Salaried position

Position Timeline: The deadline for applications is September 9, 2022.

Schedule and Location: This position is a full-time 40-hour week position. Office hours are from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. This position will be housed out of the Lincoln office.
