“Thank you, Governor Ricketts, for bringing us together today as we kick off May is Beef Month in Nebraska.
“Every day is about beef to cattle producers across Nebraska and it is an honor that we take this month to emphasize how important this industry and the producers are to the vitality of our state.
“Nebraska is a leader in every aspect of beef production, and this success is a testament to the teamwork it takes to make this multifaceted industry work. It starts with the foundation of family-owned and operated farms and ranches all the way to the consumer’s plate.
“The teamwork and cooperation of veterinarians, feed companies, co-ops, transportation, banks, local butchers, processing plants, grocery stores, and restaurants have to work together for the Beef industry to be successful and for Nebraska to be successful.
“Thank you again, Governor Ricketts, for your commitment to and recognizing the importance of our beef industry.”
