Feedlot Council
Active members in the Feedlot Council are required to pay $.40 per head on all cattle placed on feed at the start of the feeding period, or $.80 per head based on feedyard capacity (this is equivalent to $.4 0 per head on placements, assuming that the yard turns cattle 2.5 times per year and remains 80% full). Feedyards paying on placements must pay dues monthly, while feedyards paying on capacity can choose to pay dues monthly, quarterly, biannually or annually.
Feedlot Council membership in NCBA is not optional, 24% percent of the dues collected are automatically forwarded to NCBA.
