Cow-Calf, Farmer-Stockman and Seedstock Councils: Active members in the Cow-Calf, Farmer-Stockman and Seedstock Councils are required to pay fair share dues based on the number of head of cows, feedlot cattle and stockers, owned on an annual basis as indicated in the table below. Members have the option of choosing either NC membership only or NC/NCBA joint membership.

Feedyards paying on placements must pay dues monthly, while feedyards paying on capacity can choose to pay dues monthly, quarterly, biannually or annually. Feedlot Council membership in NCBA is not optional. 24% percent of the dues collected are automatically forwarded to NCBA. A feedyard customer may become a Customer Member if a member feedyard has paid dues on all cattle fed for the customer and has submitted his name to NC. Customer members receive NC & NCBA publications but do not have the right to vote. However, for a Customer member to become an active member, a feedyard customer must pay dues on all cattle owned, in addition to those that are fed at the member yard, plus the $50 service fee.
